Lauren Lake, APRN, PMHNP-BC

Lauren is a Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner whose twenty years in nursing have shaped a practice rooted in presence, compassion, and steady clinical judgment. Her path into advanced practice grew from a deep belief in the power of human connection—first nurtured at the bedside in critical care and later strengthened through years of work in peri‑anesthesia, psychiatric inpatient care, emergency medicine, and home hospice. These experiences taught her how to meet patients and families in their most vulnerable moments with clarity, empathy, and respect. Her PMHNP training at the University of Nevada, Reno expanded her skills across outpatient ADHD management, community mental health, inpatient psychiatry, women’s mental health, and emergency psychiatric consults, allowing her to develop a thoughtful, holistic approach to care across the lifespan. Lauren’s commitment to service extends beyond the clinical setting: she has coordinated multiple medical service trips to Belize and Mexico, volunteered with the Nevada Humane Society, and mentored young girls through Girls on the Run. Her Viniyoga teacher training further informs her work, giving her tools to integrate breathwork, mindfulness, and body‑based practices when appropriate. She draws from multiple therapeutic modalities to meet the unique needs of every patient, blending clinical expertise with a grounded, compassionate presence. Lauren is especially dedicated to supporting her Nevada community through personalized medication management, therapeutic connection, and a deep belief in each person’s capacity for healing and growth.
